Pasta Teatro.
Brand foundations for a pasta restaurant built on the theatre of dining.

Pasta Teatro — pastificio moderno — is a Paris pasta restaurant built on a single idea: dinner is a nightly performance, the room is a stage, and the pasta is the libretto. The brief was to give that reading its own grammar, in time for opening.
The identity treats the restaurant as a theatre company. A monogram "T" that reads as both the first letter and a drawn curtain. A wordmark built on serifs borrowed from opera programs and the posters that used to hang outside Italian playhouses. A palette of deep burgundy on cream, lit for one act.
Nothing on a Pasta Teatro table is designed to disappear into the room. Everything is directed.

Pastificio moderno.— The programme line that runs across every piece
Monogram, wordmark and collateral are designed as acts in the same show. The monogram leads; the wordmark follows; the burgundy carries. Pasta fresca, pizza, Paris is the only tagline — anything more would be an aside, and asides pull the audience out of the room.
